Built in a burst of inspired creativity a thousand years ago from 950 AD by the Chandela Rajputs, they are a testament to the craftsman's artistry and to a vision of life that was full of joy. You also visit Orchha, a medieval city which has been bypassed by time and remains untouched by modern development. Here the Bundela Rajputs have left behind a marvellous legacy in stone: beautiful palaces, temples and chhatris. |
