Depart Bikaner for Nagaur at a distance of 113 km. Mid way we will visit the Karni Mate Temple at Deshnoke. The cattle fair is held every year in January and February and goes on for eight days. The fair is a sea of striking colors as animals and participants in brightly decorated garbs mingle around. The main activity is in trading but not only in cows even horses and camels are traded here. Besides trading the fair is a hub of activities dancing, singing, performers and their shows are a delight for the tourist. Local food stalls are another attraction.

We will spend day at the fair totally immersed in what it has to offer. We will witness many activities that are a part of the celebrations. The puppeteers are an enchanting lot with amazing story telling skills that regale the visitor with old epics and traditional ballads. We will also enjoy the camel race and cock fights besides visit the largest chilli market in Asia. At the end of the day we return to our camp with luxury tent accommodation for some god food and sound sleep.

This morning we take a long drive to Jaisalmer at a distance of 325 km from Naguar. We reach Jaiselmer the desert kingdom in the evening and check in a luxury resort. Some nice Rajasthani cuisine is the order of the evening dinner that will be followed by some sound sleep.

Situated in the center of the Thar desert Jaiselmer abound is richly decorated structures and Hindu temples. We will first visit the Fort and enjoy the spectacle of sun changing the colors of the forts as it sets. The fine carving and magnificent design tells much about the artistic capabilities of Bhatti Rajput Warriors who ruled over this kingdom in the desert.

We will visit the havelis or the mansions of the nobles. We participate in fair and enjoy traditional folk music with a wide repertoire. The song and dances and camel acrobatics will enthrall us no end. We will also partake in delicious recipes of Jaisalmer and call it a day in the evening.
