Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrive Delhi in India Travel

Day 2:

Delhi - Leh (3,500 m) - By Flight 9W - Depart at 0630 hrs / Arrive at 0745 hrs After refreshing breakfast transfer to airport. The flight to Laddakh is most picturesque and stunning over K2 Mount, Nanga Parbat and Gasherbrum. Stay at Mahabodhi Eco Resorts. Take a little time to rest. Aclimitize with the elevation after flying from low elevation of New Delhi to over 11,000 feet! During the afternoon, walk through the old town, under Leh Palace and get oriented to this fascinating city. Overnight in Mahabodhi Eco Resorts.

Day 3:

In Leh - Visit to Leh Palace & Shankar Gompa

The morning is for getting used to rarefied air. Stroll along the main bazaar. Emjoy the fascinating mix of Laddakhi cultuer as exhibited in curio shops and numerous counters selling products from this region. Engage in lively converstaion with women selling fersh fruits and vegetables along the side roads. Mix with shopkeepers and buyers and iscover more about the Himalayan Region.

The famed Chang Gali has a row of tiny shops that sell local curio and jewelery. In other direction are Tibetan markets with traders selling semi-precious stones and jewelry and a range of curios. Step into any of the restaurants located in garden or on the sidewalks. They local Tibetan, Indian and Continental cuisine. Also visit the Leh Palace & Shankar Gompa. The small Gompa is a sect of Spituk Gompa, founded by the 1st Avtar of Head Monk Skyabje Bakula monastery at Spituk. Return to Mahabodhi Eco Resorts for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4:

Leh - Zingchan - By road 1 hr to Zingchan. This is gateway to Rumbak Valley - where the Snow Leopard is found. Interact with locals, enjoy and discover the culture and lifestyle of people of Laddakh. Sleep in luxury tent accommodation.

Day 5:

Zingchan - Rumbak (12,540 ft) - Trek / Approx 5 hrs On this day goo trekking in the Snow Leopard country. Overnight inluxury camps.

Day 6 - 12:

Trek the Rumbak Valley Explore with your guide in the search of the Snow Leopard. Experience local lifestyle, customs and tradition.

Day 13:

Rumbak - Zingchan - Trek / Approx 3 ½ hrs - Leh - By Surface / Approx 1 hr Today you trek back to Zingchan and drive onward to Leh for an overnight stay at Mahabodhi Eco Resorts.

Day 14:

Leh - Delhi - By Flight 9W - Depart at 0735 hrs / Arrive at 0850 hrs

Departure Delhi
