Hi
We thought would send an e-mail to thank you for a wonderful trip.
We had a fabulous time in India.
Papu our driver was with us right through the trip and he was brilliant.
He was always there to help and he was a very good driver, which, in India as I am sure you Know, you need to be. If we had to rate him on percentage we would give him 100%.
All the guides get the same rating of 100%. All of them were very skilled and friendly and we can not fault them.
Lokesh was with us for the most time and he certainly provided a very good service and found us some good birds.
In fact everyone we met in India was very friendly and helpfull. We can not wait to go back.
It was a shame that the Tiger eluded us but it did not spoil the trip and it gives us a good excuse to go back to India. Possibly next year.
We would also like to include Ramthambore next time. According to Lokesh we would have a better chance of Tiger there. We would like to go anyway so we'll have to have a think about what to do later on and then we will contact you again.
Thanks again to you and all the people we came into contact with in India for a truly wonderful experience.

Hi
Yes we have arrived safely home. Thanks for asking. Have had time now to recoup ....
We can tell you now that we really did enjoyed the tour that you organised. Even though we chose the wrong time of the year - remember it was a 50th birthday we were celebrating so had to go then - the birding was extremely good. The weather was hot so couldn't enjoy the birding as if in winter time.
Bharatpur was great and want to see it when it's flooded. the Guide Brijendra was extremely good.
The token sight seeing of Agra - Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Fukripur Sukri was excellent!! It was lovely for Martin to remember the TM on his 50th birthday.
Sattal and the foothills were fantastic and managed to see the birds that we had hopes of seeing - last chance, Cheer, Kaleej and koklas pheasant within an hour of having to leave the region!!!! MEGA!!! It was most exciting to think that if we had not seen them again for a couple of years at least - (see end of email).
Then onto Pangot and surrounding region - fantastic!! I felt sorry for the guide Ganesh as he had to take us around in the heat of the season and so was a little more difficult to hit new species but he did his best. We had some good birds out of the holiday and overall had a hundred new lifers!!
As for the minor things - hotels etc, All hotels were great .... some basic and some deluxe. The worst was the Dikhali NP reserve but that was ok even so. The elephant ride there was fab and not to be missed and saw the elusive tiger. also had opportunity to see saw loads of wildlife which was fantastic! Only thing is that Estates had a hairdryer that was so tempting to me and it didn't work !! A previous testimonial mentioned the little problem of the vouchers. Our vouchers were accepted everywhere apart from one place where there was a little problem that was easily rectified by a phone call.
Through out the trip we could not have asked for a better driver. CB was great!! He helped us keep in the theme of India - giving us loads of information on life as it passed us by . He saw the Koklass first !!!! and just supported us thoroughly during our visit. If and when we return (see end of email) we'd love to have him take us again.
So end of email. Thank you , for the extremely well organised trip. It was fantastic!! Thinking of Jan or Feb 2012 - what are th possiblities??

Back in Sweden after two weeks in India with your help. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for the arrangement. I have gathered some comments for you below.
Hotels:
The hotel in Agra was fantastic, modern with great rooms and good food (also the Delhi resthouse was OK).
Corbett Hotel best in class, wonderful service and excellent food.
All lodges in Pangot, Sattal and Bharatpur were fantastic experiences with friendly and helpful staff and always fantastic food !
Guides:
Mr. Hari Lama (Sattal, Pangot, Corbett) was one of the best guides I have ever used. A great guy with a sense of humour, very humble, with eagle-eyes and very knowledgeable in terms of birdcalls and ID.
Bharatpur was somewhat disappointing due to the drought, and we missed a couple of species in the area (Bund Baretha and Bharatpur).
Driver:
The one (along with Hari Lama) we would like to praise is our safe driver Suraj (hope I spell his name right). He was a fantastic service-minded man who also knew the birds and the places very well. He speaks excellent english and has a great sense of humour and really made our often long journeys a true pleasure.
I want to thank you and your company for making this a very successful trip for us. You have acted very professional and I will be happy to recommend you to all birders going to these parts of India in the future.
Please forward the positive comments to the people it concerns since I think it is important to get appreciation when doing a great job.

No problem at all and our driver was there on time to drop us at the airport.
The driver (Laxman) was superb and we would be very happy to have him drive us again. Overall we had a great trip and were very happy with our game viewing. As you know this was a bespoke itinerary for us based on seeing cat species.
Gir National park was great as was Raan (best food). Bera was very good and I appreciated the effort over my birthday celebrations.
Jalore was our highlight, staying in an area so full of wildlife was excellent and the hospitality was superb. Sitamata was also interesting and the accommodation was the best we have ever had in India in 19 years of travel there.
We had a great trip and would be happy to work with you again on our future travel plans.

We had a great holiday especially watching my partner taking a shower with an elephant -- the video is hilarious!!
Certainly the local guides were great and we did as many local activities as we could, thereby benefiting local people. We had a really great time.
We got to chill out as well as do different things and activities. We were able to see different parts of Kerala which we could have planned ourselves but this saved us a lot of time and stress ands we surely recommend India Footprints to others…..wonderful memories
From Ian & Jane Walker group UK
We arrived back home today at lunchtime, after a trouble
free journey last night. At this stage its hard to put into words how much Jane
and I enjoyed our trip, there were so many fantastic experiences crammed into just
3 weeks. Some initial thoughts: -Sikkim- amazing, both of us enjoyed our sperate
and joint experiences, the hotels were excellent,Vijay was the best guide we have
ever come accross, the accomodation was first class and food excellent, a beautiful
state and one I will recommend to others -Darjeeling - pity about the weather, but
it couldn't spoil our time, the additional bonus of the Toy Train, accomodation excellent, enjoyed
experiencing the Town,HMI really enjoyed, zoo? - Agra,in spite of visiting dignatories
we managed to
see
everything, and even the train delay provided opportuinities!!!
- Train journey , was fine, everyone was happy with arrangements other than delays
- Kanha - Amazing tiger experiences (Jane 5 sightings & me 4 plus 1 leopard)
food and accomodation as always superb. India Footprints - the logistics were handled
extremely well through out and your presence was key in making things go so smoothly, your
skills in anticipating everyone's needs, smoothing out crises ie train delays helped
so much.

We arrived home safely on Monday and have just about
finished unpacking. Our trip to Jaipur was excellent. The hotel was very pleasant
being an old palace with all modern conveniences, it was full of atmosphere and
comfortable. Our guide and driver were both very good and the sights of Jaipur were
amazing though the large number of other tourists contrasted with what we had experienced
in Sikkim and Kanha. Thankyou so much for all your efforts in organising the trip
and ensuring that all went well. We enjoyed your company and missed you in the last
week. Please also give a big thankyou to your lovely wife and daughter for making
us so welcome in your home. It was an oasis of calm and comfort in a busy schedule.
We hope to visit India again and will surely get in touch with you when we do. That
reminds me nobody gave us details of your agent in Madras. It might be useful for
our son Robert when he is there in December if you could send us the information.
Once again many thanks for helping to make our trip such a success.

Kanha was wonderful - with quite beautiful
forest and meadows where we saw 4 tigers and 3 leopards! Special thanks to Bapu
and Raju our guide and driver whose tracking skills were tremendous. We enjoyed
staying at Krishna Jungle Resort where the manager and his staff made us very
welcome. At Bandhavgarh we saw three more tigers! Our rooms at Nature Heritage were
attractive and comfortable and Romy the manager was very attentive. The food at
both hotels was delicious. We enjoyed our road journeys made in the comfortable
cars with careful drivers you provided. We loved
watching the villagers in their
homes and fields as we passed by and we considered the longish journeys as an enjoyable
part of our holiday experience. We were extremely lucky to get a carriage to ourselves
on the overnight sleeper from Katni to Agra and
arrived in time to experience
an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal which took our breaths away!
On then to Chambal Safari Lodge. What
an oasis of calm - except when the colony of hundreds of flying foxes left their
roost at sunset! The Chambal River cruise was beautiful and we were lucky enough
to visit the village of Bateshwar when their annual Mela was taking place - very
colourful and vibrant.
Everything ran so smoothly, which
no doubt was due to your attention to detail, for which we are very grateful.
We're already talking about our next
visit!
Mrs Lesley Craven UK
This was our 4th visit to India and was by far our most enjoyable trip there.
We were 3 people travelling together & India Footprints put together
a splendid private tailor made tour for us. Everything ran
like clockwork
& our driver and the guides in all the places we visited were excellent.
If I decide to take
another holiday in India I would have no hesitation
in using India Footprints again.
