From Ian & Jane Walker group UK
We arrived back home today at lunchtime, after a trouble free journey last night.
At this stage its hard to put into words how much Jane and I enjoyed our
trip, there were so many fantastic experiences crammed into just 3 weeks. Some
initial thoughts: -Sikkim- amazing, both of us enjoyed our sperate and joint
experiences, the hotels were excellent,Vijay was the best guide we have ever come
accross, the accomodation was first class and food excellent, a beautiful state
and one I will recommend to others -Darjeeling - pity about the weather, but it
couldn't spoil our time, the additional bonus of the Toy Train, accomodation
excellent,enjoyed experiencing the Town,HMI really enjoyed,zoo? - Agra,in spite
of visiting dignatories we managed to see everything, and even the train delay
provided opportuinities!!! - Train journey , was fine, everyone was happy with
arrangements other than delays - Kanha - Amazing tiger experiences (Jane 5
sightings & me 4 plus 1 leopard) food and accomodation as always superb. India
Footprints - the logistics were handled extremely well through out and your
presence was key in making things go so smoothly, your skills in anticipating
everyone's needs, smoothing out crises ie train delays helped so much

We arrived home safely on Monday and have just about finished unpacking. Our
trip to Jaipur was excellent. The hotel was very pleasant being an old palace
with all modern conveniences, it was full of atmosphere and comfortable. Our
guide and driver were both very good and the sights of Jaipur were amazing
though the large number of other tourists contrasted with what we had
experienced in Sikkim and Kanha. Thankyou so much for all your efforts in
organising the trip and ensuring that all went well. We enjoyed your company and
missed you in the last week. Please also give a big thankyou to your lovely wife
and daughter for making us so welcome in your home. It was an oasis of calm and
comfort in a busy schedule. We hope to visit India again and will surely get in
touch with you when we do. That reminds me nobody gave us details of your agent
in Madras. It might be useful for our son Robert when he is there in December if
you could send us the information. Once again many thanks for helping to make
our trip such a success.

Kanha was wonderful -
with quite beautiful forest and meadows where we saw 4 tigers and 3
leopards! Special thanks to Bapu and Raju our guide and driver whose
tracking skills were tremendous. We enjoyed staying at
Krishna Jungle Resort where the manager and his
staff made us very welcome. At Bandhavgarh we saw three more
tigers! Our rooms at Nature Heritage were attractive and
comfortable and Romy the manager was very attentive. The food
at both hotels was delicious. We enjoyed our road journeys made in
the comfortable cars with careful drivers you provided. We
loved watching the villagers in their homes and fields as we passed
by and we considered the longish journeys as an enjoyable part of
our holiday experience. We were extremely lucky to get a carriage to
ourselves on the overnight sleeper from Katni to Agra and arrived in
time to experience an early morning visit to the Taj Mahal which
took our breaths away! On then to Chambal
Safari Lodge. What an oasis of calm - except when the colony of
hundreds of flying foxes left their roost at sunset! The Chambal
River cruise was beautiful and we were lucky enough to visit the
village of Bateshwar when their annual Mela was taking place -
very colourful and vibrant.
Everything ran so
smoothly, which no doubt was due to your attention to detail, for
which we are very grateful. We're already talking
about our next visit!
